Reporting to the Managing Director

Job description

• Manage all aspects of accounting operations in the company, in compliance with local regulations.

• Provide oversight on company’s financial policies.

• Oversee the budgeting process, identifying cost reduction opportunities while implementing cost-saving initiatives.

• Manage the team to enable an effective financial process such as over journals, account receivable, account payable, inventory, cash flow management, accruals, daily and monthly reconciliation and other processes.

• Support other departments to align financial goals with overall business objectives.

• Lead and supervise a team towards professional growth, provide support and foster a collaborative, positive and results-oriented work environment.

• Coordinate with auditors and stakeholders on financial matters.  

Job Specification Qualifications / Requirement / Criteria

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance / Accounting or similar.

• Professional qualification (e.g. Chartered Accountant / ACCA Member) would be an advantage.

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, including 5 years of supervisory experience.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Strong team player and collaborator.

• Independent, meticulous with strong drive to complete tasks and projects assigned within stipulated timeline.

• Experience in Marine Industry field would be an added advantage.
